Indications

Metronidazole is used to treat bacterial infections of the vagina, stomach or intestines, liver, skin, joints, brain, heart, and respiratory tract.

• Adults: 500 mg three times daily for 5 to 10 days, Childrens: 35 to 50 mg/kg/24 hours, divided into three doses, orally for 7-10 days. A maximum of 4 g should not be exceeded during a 24-hour period.
