Indications

Antibiotic, class of carbapenems for treatment of severe and resistant infections

• Nosocomial pneumonia, especially those acquired after 7 days of mechanical ventilation
• Postoperative peritonitis and non-postoperative late nosocomial peritonitis
• Late superinfections of necrotizing pancreatitis
• Bronchopulmonary infections of cystic fibrosis
• Febrile neutropenia, particularly at risk for resistant gram-negative bacilli
• Septicemia and gram-negative bacilli infections on central catheter or implantable chamber
• Acute bacterial meningitis

Posology

Recommended dose is 500 mg - 2 g per day each 8 hours and it depends to infection
