No special precautions or dosage adjustments are considered necessary in patients with hepatic impairment.
Administration
Co-fan suspension is administrated by oral route.
Co-fan suspension should be taken with milk or high fat food - particularly on the second and third days of treatment. Note that patients with acute malaria are frequently averse to food. Patients should be encouraged to resume normal eating as soon as food can be tolerated since this improves absorption of the medicine. In the event of vomiting within 1 hour of administration a repeat dose should be taken.
Administration : Open the bottle tap, cool water is added and carefully brought to the mark point indicating the 60 mL level, mix carefully until all powder has disappeared in water and a suspension is being formed. Readjust the volume to the 60 ml mark and mix. This suspension must be used within 2 weeks. Shake well before use.
